Mindmap, which program to use???

I started with simplemap on my Ipad, I did not like it.
Next I used the online mindmeister, which can be used on both the pc and ipad.
The mindmap is set public. But now i got a message that I need to pay, otherwise all kind of functions will not work anymore :-(.

So I am going to use the opensource VUE . Actually I knew from the start this is a professional program, only it is not available as app yet.
The Visual Understanding Environment (VUE) is an Open Source project based at Tufts University.  Why was I so stubborn?
